AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Maxwell's Pumpkin Farm will make a major donation of $3,302.00 this Sunday at 2:00 pm to Snack Pak 4 Kids to help feed children in over 100 schools throughout the Texas Panhandle, according to Larry Borger, owner of Maxwell's Pumpkin Farm.

"We decided to partner with the phenomenal Snack Pak 4 Kids program this year," said Borger. "It seemed like a perfect fit since both of our organizations are focused on the well-being of kids and their families," he added.

Maxwell's made a commitment to donate 10% of every child's $5.00 admission fee for the school sponsored field trips. Those funds were designated to go back to the school's Snack Pak 4 Kids program. 115 schools throughout the Texas Panhandle participated in the field trips explained Borger.

In addition, every child who attended a Maxwell's Field Trip also received a Free Pass to come back during the weekend with a paid admission. $1.00 of each of those accompanying paid admissions were donated back to the respective school's Snack Pak 4 Kids program, said Borger.

"This donation by Maxwell's Pumpkin Farm will impact students across nearly 40 school districts throughout the Texas Panhandle," according to Dyron Howell with the Snack Pak 4 Kids program."We're excited and very thankful," said Borger, "that we partnered with Snack Pak 4 Kids and that the money goes back to the schools to help eradicate hunger for our area's children."
