AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Amarillo police have identified a person suspected of forcing his way into an elderly couple's home before stealing valuables and attempting to pawn them.
Michael Neal, 38, became a suspect after surveillance footage from a pawn shop showed him trying to the sell the store a watch believed to have been taken from the home, according to police.
Sergeant Brent Barbee said two rings were also taken during Monday morning's robbery, in which Neal posed as a newspaper delivery man and hit an elderly female resident to gain entry into a home in the 4100 block of Terrace.
The victims of the incident were only identified as an 88-year-old woman and an 89-year-old male. Both were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Neal was booked into the Randall County jail on two counts of aggravated robbery.
