Amarillo police have reopened SH-287 while southbound access roads remain closed.
Around 1 p.m., officers responded to a major vehicle accident at NE 24th Avenue and the Dumas Highway.
A semi truck pulling a flat bed trailer loaded with farm equipment was southbound on the access road of the Dumas Highway approaching NE 24th Avenue.
The equipment on the trailer caught the wooden telephone pole and broke it.
The pole fell causing the power line to strike the windshield of semi truck and two passenger cars.
Xcel spokesperson Wes Reeves confirmed there are no power outages in the area.
The highway was shut down for over an hour to clear debris and remove the power line.
No injuries have been reported.
