AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - More than 50 runners from Amarillo National Bank will engage in the "Turkey Run," which will begin around noon on Tuesday, November 22nd.
They'll start at the big Red Heart statue at Plaza Two (the mirrored building) on the corner of 5th & Taylor (500 S. Taylor), and run a trail from downtown to the High Plains Food Bank at 815 Ross Street.
This year, instead of runners carrying frozen turkeys, they'll carry gallon-sized cans. When they arrive at the parking lot of the food bank, they'll present a check for $500. High Plains Food Bank will be able to purchase quality protein items, including turkeys as needed.
