Area National Philanthropy Day honorees announced

AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - In honor of National Philanthropy Day, local businesses and citizens will be recognized at a luncheon on Nov. 16.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals will be distributing 9 different awards to these individuals at their annual luncheon.

Five organizations and four individual groups will be celebrated for not only donating money but their time within the community.

The Amarillo Downtown Kiwanis Club and Randall High Schools Key Club are among those who will be recognized.

The luncheon will take place at the Amarillo Civic Center in the Heritage Room from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

It will be open to the public and individual tickets are $50.
