AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) -

Two BSA Health System employees have been honored with the Prime Service Award from the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce. The coveted award was presented to Shelly Black and Kristi Kelley for their willingness to go above and beyond.

Shelly Black has been with BSA for more than 20 years. She serves as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant and a Certified Lymphedema Therapist at BSA Outpatient Therapy. Black says the best part her job is working with patients. “I am grateful to the person who took the time and effort to nominate me,” said Black. “I am also very happy that I had the opportunity to make a positive impact on their experience at BSA Outpatient Therapy.”

Kristi Kelley began her career at BSA two years ago in the scheduling department. “I was surprised and excited,” said Kelley who was nominated for the award by a patient. “I’m very thankful to work at this amazing hospital and with such a great crew.”

“Congratulations to Shelly and Kristi on being recognized,” said Belinda Gibson, Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer at BSA. “These individuals epitomize the quality, service and excellence that makes BSA a great place for patients.”

The Prime Service Award is presented to an individual in the community who provides top-notch customer service. Nominations are submitted on the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce website. The chamber then selects winners at random and hand-delivers a Prime Service lapel pin and certificate for their hard work.
