Clovis man pleads guilty to sexual exploitation of children

TUCUMCARI, N.M. (KFDA) - Ninth Judicial District Attorney, Andrea Reeb, has announced that Daniel Pruett, 34, of Clovis, entered a guilty plea to charges of Sexual Exploitation of Children and Voyeurism.

In December of 2015, the victim's mother contacted the New Mexico State Police about some videos she found on Pruett's cell phone.

The videos were of her 16-year-old daughter getting in and out of the shower and getting dressed and undressed in her bedroom.

At the time the videos were filmed, Pruett was living in the home in San Jon, NM.

The investigation showed that Pruett had strategically hidden his cell phone in order to capture the videos without the young girl's knowledge.

Pruett faces up to 13 years in the New Mexico Department of Corrections.
