CARSON COUNTY, TX (KFDA) - Around 63 pounds of marijuana were seized during what authorities called a consensual encounter with a driver parked at a convenience store in Carson County.
The Texas Department of Public Safety says a special agent approached the driver Wednesday and later discovered several packages of marijuana inside the trunk. A DPS canine unit assisted with the search.
The drugs are valued at $382,000.
The driver, 64-year-old Joseph Brown, of Georgia, was arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana. Brown was booked into the Carson County jail.
Troopers believe the drugs were en route to Georgia from California.
