RANDALL COUNTY, TX (KFDA) -

The Randall County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate a burglary that occurred earlier this morning.

On Sept. 30, a Randall County deputy noticed a suspicious, 2002 Silver Hyundai parked at the gate of a closed storage unit business at 9201 South Washington St.

The deputy saw some individuals inside the gated and fenced area and called for backup.

Deputies later located a 30-year-old Renee Brice and her 8-year-old daughter hiding in one the rental units.

She was detained until other units could arrive and search the complex for any other suspects who may be hiding.

The DPS helicopter was also called to conduct surveillance from the air.

After a thorough search by the RCSO H.E.A.T.T. team, no other suspects were located.

Child Protective Services was called to take custody of the child.

Brice was booked into the Randall County Jail on a charge of burglary of a building.
