Authorities say a driver fell asleep at the wheel shortly before rolling his vehicle in a fatal crash Tuesday morning.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said Anthony Urias, 22, was westbound on FM-1727 about 10 miles northwest of Dalhart. Urias fell asleep while driving and veered his pickup into a barrow ditch.
He awoke and over-corrected his vehicle, causing it to roll several times before he was ejected.
Urias was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
DPS believes he was not wearing a seat belt when the crash happened.
