AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - On Sept. 13, around 5:27 P.M. Amarillo Police Department officers were dispatched to the 7500 block of Topeka Drive on a burglary in progress.
The home owner was home during the incident and heard glass break on the back door of the home.
The homeowner grabbed his firearm and went to see what happened. While approaching the back door he saw a hand wearing a glove reach through the back door holding a gun.
The homeowner fired his weapon towards the suspect.
The suspect left without getting inside and has not been seen after the incident. The victim was not injured during this burglary in progress.
