Two arrested after Borger jewelry store burglary

BORGER, TX (KFDA) - Borger police have recovered $25,000 in jewelry stolen from a store in that city.

Around 1:30 a.m. today., officers arrived at Jim's Diamond Shop in the 500 block of North Main after an alarm was set off.

Upon arrival officers found signs of forced entry, damage to cases and noticed missing jewelry.

Business owner, Jim Bridwell also arrived to the scene and confirmed the retail value of the jewelry stolen to be around $25,000.

Deputies from Gray County Sheriff's Office and Officers from Pampa Police Department stopped the suspect vehicle in Gray County.

Later, investigation by a K-9 unit and patrol resulted in the arrest of a juvenile suspect for possession of marijuana

The suspect  confessed to the Borger burglary and gave information leading to the recovery of all stolen jewelry.

The identity of this Pampa resident will not be released due to him being a juvenile.
