Amarillo Area Adult Literacy Council presents Lobsterfest 2016

The Amarillo Area Adult Literacy Council presents its 32nd annual fundraiser Lobsterfest benefiting adult learners in the Amarillo/Canyon area who missed the opportunity to become literate.

The event is the major fund raiser for the Amarillo Area Adult Literacy Council. The funds raised enable the council to provide services which facilitate opportunities for the illiterate adults in the Amarillo/ Canyon area to become literate. AAALC provides tutoring in reading, writing and math computation for an individual to be productive in today's society. These services are provided to the individual free of charge.

This year's event will be held on Friday, August 5th at Cornerstone Ranch Events Center in Bushland from 6:30pm-12:00. Individual Tickets are $60, or for those wishing to purchase a table, tables are $500 and seat 10 people. Tickets can be purchased at the AAALC office in the Ware Student Commons Bldg. Rm 307D on AC's Washington Street Campus, by calling at (806) 371-5084, or from any Board Member. This year's event will kick off with Happy Hour from 6:30- 7:30pm. Dinner including steak and lobster, sides and dessert will be served starting at 7:30pm.

Additionally, the event will include a silent auction, a raffle featuring a custom designed piece of jewelry from Barnes Jewelry, and a live auction for larger items donated.
