Police searching for suspect behind Buffalo Wild Wings robbery

AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) -

Police are asking for the public's help finding a man who tried to rob an Amarillo Buffalo Wild Wings this past weekend.

The Amarillo Police Department responded to the restaurant near Rick Husband International Airport Saturday morning.

Police said an employee was sitting in a chair by the manager's office when a white male entered the back door of the restaurant, pointed a gun at the employee and demanded that the office door be opened.

The employee told the suspect they could not open the door and left to get a manager. The employee then alerted other staff members and everyone left the store.

The suspect was not at the location when police arrived.

Officials describe the person as a slim  6'2" male wearing a gray plaid jacked, black ski mask and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call APD or Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400. Tips can also be made online at www.amapolice.org.
