The City of Amarillo says it wants to listen.
Now is your chance to get off the sidelines and have a say about how the city will potentially spend hundreds of millions of dollars.
Does our infrastructure need to be improved? Yes. But where to start? Parks, water lines, streets?
Good questions, but so far less than 1 percent of the population has taken advantage of public meetings the city is holding and online surveys to gather opinions, and there are only two meetings left this week. Wednesday's meeting will cover parks and recreation and Thursday will cover utilities, including drainage and sanitation. Both start at 5:30 at the Civic Center.
This is your chance to have a say and make a difference.
Perspective: It is easy to pass judgement on others decisions, if you can make a meeting or go online, let's stand up as a community and voice our opinion and give the City the best input to make the best decisions possible.
