AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - The Texas Department of Public Safety was called to a one vehicle accident early Saturday morning in Potter County resulting in the death of one person.
Around 5:50 a.m., 31-year-old Ernesto Hernandez of Houston was driving a 2011 Dodge pickup towing a 2013 homemade trailer southbound on FM 1912 near the Tyson plant.
39-year-old Aung Thin of Amarillo was walking east across FM 1912, failed to yield right of way to the pickup truck towing the trailer and was struck causing his death.Thin was pronounced dead on scene by Potter County Justice of the Peace, Richard Herman.
Hernandez was not injured. The road conditions were dry and no other vehicles were involved.
