Amber Alert canceled for Victoria Teakell, found safe in Santa Rosa, N.M.

UPDATE: N.M. (KFDA) - The Amber Alert has been canceled for 16-year-old Victoria Teakell.

Early Monday, New Mexico State Police said the teenager was found safe in Santa Rosa, N.M.

The Roosevelt County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate.

ROOSEVELT COUNTY, NM (KFDA) - The Roosevelt County Sheriff's Department has issued an Amber Alert for 16-year-old Victoria Teakell. 

Officials said she was last seen Sunday around 4:00 p.m. A witness saw an unknown vehicle, possibly an SUV, where Teakell was last seen near South Roosevelt Road U and South Roosevelt Road 9, approximately six miles outside Portales.

Teakell is described as an Hispanic female, approximately 5'4'' tall, weighing 125 pounds, with brown eyes and long black hair. She was last seen wearing a black ankle-length skirt, black slip-on dress shoes and a multi-colored plaid button-up dress shirt with pink and purple.
