AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Amarillo residents are encouraged to attend a public discussion regarding upcoming construction along I-27 and I-40.
The meeting will be held Thursday, April 7 at the Texas Department of Transportation Office Building H, 5715 Canyon Dr. An open house will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Attendees can ask questions and address concerns with TxDOT planners about proposed construction on four different areas on the interstates:
- IH-27 from 45th Ave. to Georgia St. to repair and widen the 45th Ave. bridges, as well as make ramp and frontage road improvements from 45th Ave. to Georgia St.
- IH-27 from 26th Ave. to 34th Ave. to repair the 26th Ave, bridges and widen the southbound bridge, and make improvements to the southbound ramps and frontage road from 26th Ave. to 34th Ave.
- IH-40 at Bell Street to repair bridges and to make improvements to the intersection and frontage road approaches.
- IH-40 from Crockett St. to Georgia St. to make improvements to the westbound exit ramp and the frontage road from Crockett St. to Georgia St.
