AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - A rollover accident on I-40 killed an Amarillo man this weekend.
Early Saturday morning, officers responded to I-40 near Bell. There, they found a 33-year-old man had lost control of his vehicle as he entered the highway.
The vehicle rolled and went up the embankment. Passenger, 34-year-old David Lewis was ejected from from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
The incident is still under investigation by the traffic investigation squad.
