AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Two overnight fires sparked overnight in Amarillo neighborhoods.

The first one was at 1023 Southwest 11th Street where a back apartment went up in flames. Police tell us no one was home at the time.

It took an hour and a half to get the blaze out. The fire marshall was on site and is now investigating the cause of the fire.

Firefighters were also at the scene of a vacant home where an attached garage caught fire in the 400 block of South Alabama.

The call came out just before midnight. No one was inside the residence.

The blaze caused heavy fire damage in the garage.

It took crews more than an hour to put out the flames.

The cause of this fire is now under investigation as well.
