AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Police say recent reported burglaries out of south Amarillo indicate that thieves are targeting new home construction sites.

In the past two weeks, police say they've investigated two separate cases at new home construction sites on Nancy Ellen Street and Barrington Court, where thieves forced their way into the homes and stole several new appliances and fixtures.

Anyone with information on these burglaries is urged to call Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 806-374-4400.

An anonymous tip could earn you a reward of up to $1,000.
