NATIONWIDE (KFDA) - More brands and snack mixes are being added to a nationwide pistachio recall after possible salmonella contamination.
Texas Star, Nut and Food company says a random package tested by the Food and Drug Administration showed the contamination was positive.
The company is asking you to check your homes for the products and either throw them away or return them to the store.
The products that have been added are the Nature's Eats brand pistachios and snack mixes labeled Fresh Choice and Southern Grove. They were distributed to retailers in Texas and Louisiana.
Symptoms of salmonella are fever, nausea and abdominal pain, among other symptoms.
