Clovis police arrest two teenagers involved in armed robbery

CLOVIS, NM (KFDA) - Clovis police officers have arrested two teenagers involved in an Armed Robbery case.

On Feb. 29 Clovis Police Department were called to the 300 block of Kansas street for a robbery. Officers spoke with two people that say they were robbed at gunpoint.

On March 1 a suspect was identified during their investigation. CPD located the suspect, a 17-year-old boy and took him into custody. CPD searched the boy's residence and found cash and a watch that was reported stolen the day before. The suspect identified a second 17-year-old and he was later taken into custody.

One of the teenagers face several charges including Armed Robbery, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Assault with Intent to Commit a Violent Felony.  The second suspect will face charges of Conspiracy to Armed Robbery and Conspiracy to Assault with Intent to Commit a Violent Felony.

Both suspects were taken to the Curry County Juvenile Detention Center.
