Three arrested, stolen cars recovered

BORGER, TX (KFDA) - Three people are behind bars after they were found with stolen vehicles, according to the Borger Police Department.

Zane Dixon, Justin Getz, and Rodney Payne were arrested Thursday during separate incidents. 

Police say Dixon tried to flee from officers after they noticed him in a car recently reported as stolen in Amarillo. Officials say Dixon crashed the car into a fence while trying to make a turn. He then got out of the car and tried to flee on foot, police said. 

Dixon remains jailed on $61,000 of total bonds.

Payne and Getz were in possession of a car reportedly stolen out of Sunray, police said. They were arrested together and remain jailed.  

All three faces unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and drug possession charges, among others.
