Police: Amarillo man found hiding under car in junkyard

Amarillo, TX - An Amarillo man faces possession and trespassing chargers following his arrest early Wednesday, according to the Amarillo Police Department.

APD officers arrived at a wrecking yard in the 1100 block of North Mirror around 2:00 a.m. on a call of possible burglary. The caller told police they saw a man climb over the fence and breaking into cars.

Officers then began to search for the suspect and found him hiding under a car.

David Nunn, 38, was taken into custody and searched. Police say they found a bag of Xanax pills and a knife.

According to police, Nunn did not have a prescription for the pills and were seized as evidence.

Nunn was taken to the Potter County Jail and faces charges of Criminal Trespass with a Deadly Weapon and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
