Center City of Amarillo recognized by Texas Main Street

AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - In a recent Texas Main Street conference in New Braunfels, Texas, Center City of Amarillo was recognized for their work with bringing improvements to downtown.

Center City executive director Beth Duke says the recognition shows that Center City has met or exceeded state and national standards to maintain their spot on the list of similarly outstanding programs across the state.

In partnership with the program, Center City boasts an overall reinvestment of more than $241 million, the creation of more than 1,700 jobs and more than 300 small businesses.

Other cities recognized at the meeting included Canyon, Levelland and Plainview.
