AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - No arrests have been made as police continue to investigate a stabbing that took place Monday morning.
Just before 7:30 a.m. near 6th Ave. and Adams St., officers say the victim, a 23 year-old man, was arguing with the suspect, a 38 year-old man, over using a pay phone.
The victim reportedly had several lacerations from a box knife following the struggle, and was treated for his injuries at a local hospital.
Police say they later caught up with the suspect, who offered a conflicting story behind what led to the stabbing.
The suspect was released and police say the investigation is ongoing.
