Moore County officials name victim in homicide investigation

Officials identified the victim as 39-year-old Ginger Rodriguez. Rodriguez and Volk shared a home in Moore County, according to the Moore County Sheriff's Department. AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Investigators say they have their suspect in a recent homicide in Moore County.

Moore County Sheriff's Deputies arrested David Richard Volk at 3:35 Monday afternoon.

Officials identified the victim as Ginger Rodriguez, 39, Monday evening. Deputies say Rodriguez and Volk lived together. Rodriguez was reported missing in August 2015.

Volk is currently being held in the Moore County Jail. His bond was set at $1 million late Monday night.

Police have closed the area near Northeast 8th from Maddox to Norma as the investigation continues, and they advise anyone needing to get in to that area will need to provide proof of residency.
