DUMAS, TX - Area residents will have the chance to ask questions and learn more about a proposed road construction project this week.
The project will upgrade the portion of US 287 that runs through Dumas, which is causing some concerns. Many residents and businesses say they want to know how much this project would cost, if taxpayers would be affected, and how traffic would be conducted if the main road shuts down. Some are also concerned the project could limit access to businesses in the area.
Dumas city commissioners want to answer questions and give residents and businesses a chance to voice their concerns. There will be a public forum on Monday at the Moore County Community building on south Maddox at 6 p.m.
