Crews battle grass fires in Hutchinson County

UPDATE: Both grass fires are now out. The investigation into what caused them is ongoing. In all, 10 area fire departments responded to help put the fires out.

BORGER, TX (KFDA) - Fire crews are battling two grass fires in Hutchinson county.

The first is on Evergreen St. in Borger, near the Crutch Ranch.

The second fire is in Bugbee near Elk & 2nd St. At least one structure near that fire has been lost.

FM 3395 is closed to allow first responders to work safely. 

Emergency officials said both fires are contained but are urging residents to stay away from the areas while crews work to put out the flames.
