AMARILLO, TX (KFDA) - Girl Scout Cookie sales begin January 15.
Every year Girl Scouts sell thousands of boxes of Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, and Caramel De Lites. However, they don't just sell door to door anymore, they now sell online.
Last year Girl Scouts launched their Digital Cookie site where girls can sell cookies to their families across the country.
Marsha Goebel, the Product Sales Retail Coordinator, said the Digital Cookie help girls sell more. "The relatives will go onto the link that's attached (in an e-mail) and they'll order cookies," Goebel said. "They can order like six of one flavor, a case of one flavor, which is 12, or a variety pack which has eight in it. It's shipped directly to them. The girl gets credit so it would just be like she sold to her neighbor."
The girls are also helping troops overseas through their Troop to Troop program. Anyone can buy cookies for the troops and have them shipped overseas.
Cookies will be on sale until February 28. To find cookie selling locations visit their website.
