DPS troopers uncover 75 pounds of marijuana

Amarillo, TX - Texas state troopers say they found nearly half-a-million dollars' worth of marijuana in a recent bust.

Just before 7:00 a.m. Tuesday on Interstate 40 near Conway, troopers say they stopped a 2006 GMC Yukon driven by 60 year-old Seymour Weksler of Tucson, Arizona.

During the traffic stop, troopers say they discovered three large bundles of marijuana hidden inside the vehicle, all-together weighing more than 75 pounds.

Troopers value the bundles at more than $454,000.

Weksler was arrested and booked into the Carson County jail, and faces a felony charge for possession of marijuana.

Troopers believe Weksler was taking the drugs from San Diego to Oklahoma.
