Amarillo, TX - After working all year to collect coats and other gifts for area children in need , it was Delivery Day for the Eveline Rivers Christmas Project.
Saturday morning, several hundred volunteers headed to the workshop downtown to help pack up and then deliver presents to 8,000 children across the Panhandle.
Project Founder Eveline Rivers said Delivery Day would not be possible without support from the Panhandle community. "This community is what makes this work. We have just two hands, those of us who work here, and the community comes and fills all of the voids that we can't do ourselves. We are very blessed to live here."
This year the project is celebrating its 32nd year of collecting and delivering gifts to area children.
