Amarillo, TX - Police say a traffic stop Tuesday night led officers to discover several types of illegal drugs.
Just after 10:30 p.m., officers say they stopped a pick-up in the 2000 block of South Ross.
While the officer was checking for warrants on the driver and passenger, they say a handgun was tossed outside from the passenger window.

Inside, they report finding methamphetamine, marijuana, Xanax and Oxycontin, as well as a digital scale.
The passenger, 27 year-old Javier Alejandro Jimenez was booked into the Potter County jail on the outstanding warrants, as well as manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance.
The driver, 25 year-old Joseph Francis Samora, faces the same drug charge as well as a class C misdemeanor for the traffic offense.
Police say additional charges are possible.
