CLARENDON, TX - Riley Shadle is slowly healing after a football injury hospitalized him in October.
The Clarendon football player collided with an opposing linebacker, leaving him with two fractured and dislocated vertebrae.
He was unable to move his body.
An online update from his family on Tuesday said Shadle began showing movement in his toes, left hand, foot and knee. He is now taking more breaths on his own than his ventilator machine is giving him.
Shadle has feeling in his abdomen area, and he is eating a fully regular diet.
He is in recovery at Craig Hospital in Colorado.
The Shadle family remains positive and thanks their home community for the constant prayers.
