Fritch, TX - Area police have now-reopened Highway 136 near Fritch following a deadly accident.

Officials say just after three on Wednesday, a semi truck collided head-on with a pick up truck. Troopers say the driver of the semi, 37-year-old David Pomianowski, was passing vehicles in a no passing lane into the path of 57-year-old Rosa Rangel of Borger.

Rangel was killed in the crash while Pomianowski was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Traffic on the highway stalled in both directions for four hours as crews cleaned the scene. Road conditions were dry and no other vehicles were involved. Both drivers were wearing seat-belts.
