Drugs seized during traffic stop, deputies say

AMARILLO - THC oil and marijuana wax were seized during a recent traffic stop on Interstate 40, according to the Potter County Sheriff's Office.

The drugs were allegedly being transported from California to Missouri.

The driver was pulled over on I-40 west of Amarillo Monday morning. The wax, THC oil, and hashish were found inside the spare tire compartment of the car, according to deputies. The products supposedly belonged to an unidentified female passenger, who was then arrested and booked into the Potter County jail.

The car's passenger supposedly told deputies the drugs were purchased in California and were being taken back to her home in Missouri.

She faces three felony charges for possession of a controlled substance. The driver was released and is not facing charges.
