Pampa community aims to help tornado victims

Pampa, TX -  The Pampa community is trying to help one of their own who lost everything in last week's tornado.

Last Monday, 17 confirmed tornadoes touched down across the Panhandle. One of those tornadoes turned Pampa couple, Mark and Angie Friend's world upside down.

Their house was demolished by a tornado. Not only did they lose their home, but they also lost their barn, farm equipment, and family heirlooms.

The Friend family says they are just happy they are safe and not hurt from the intense storm, but friends of the family are now asking the Panhandle community to come together to help them rebuild.

An online account through Crowdrise has been set up to collect donations. So far, a little more than $1,100 has been raised.

If you would like to donate go to Crowdrise.
