Randall County lifts Burn Ban

Amarillo, TX - Randall County has lifted their Burn Ban effective immediately. The ban will be re-implemented as environmental conditions change and the vegetation becomes easily ignitable.

The Fire Department reminds residents that even though the Burn Ban has been lifted they still need to comply with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Outdoor Burning requirements which can be found on the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality website

The Fire Department says residents should only burn allowable trash while winds are calm and when a water source or fire extinguisher are readily available.

The departments says residents should never burn electrical wire insulation or tires, heavy oils or asphalt materials, and potential explosive material or chemicals.
