Amarillo, TX - More than 350 new area cub scouts celebrated Halloween festivities and learned outdoor scouting skills Saturday.
The 28th Annual Cub Scout Spook-O-Ree took place from 1 p.m. until dark at Camp Don Harrington.
The event aims to show newly recruited cub scouts all of the fun outdoor activities that come with cub scouting.
"We just want to show them that we safely shoot BB guns and bows and arrows," said Golden Spread Council Program Director Scott Kilian. "We have a jumpy house and a lot of games. It's just a lot of outdoor fun. They get to get out there and breathe the fresh air and enjoy camp Don Harrington."
