Three arrested after residential burglary

AMARILLO, TX - Three suspects were arrested Tuesday morning in relation to a burglary on Monday night.

On Monday night around 9:00, APD officers were sent to the 1800 block of SE 36th on a burglary call. The homeowner told officers the suspect or suspects stole guns and other items, including a black GMC Denali.

Around 1:30 this morning Amarillo Police Officers pulled over a black Denali suspected to be stolen. Officers ran the plates and discovered that they had been switched with another vehicle. The driver was removed from the vehicle and searched. Police found one of the stolen guns from the night before on the suspect. The remaining two occupants were removed from the vehicle, handcuffed and searched.

Officers were able to determine the vehicle was the same one that was stolen a few hours earlier on SE 36th. Police found 3 more of the stolen weapons in the vehicle and other property from the residential burglary. Both the items and vehicle were returned to the owner.

The driver is identified as Mang Sang, 17, of Amarillo. One passenger was identified as Robert Ling, 18, of Amarillo. And the third suspect is only identified as a 16 year old male. Sang was arrested and booked into the Potter County Correction Center on a charge of Burglary of a Habitation. the 16 year old was arrested and placed in the Youth Center of the High Plains.
