APD investigating Thursday night robbery at local hotel

AMARILLO, TX - Amarillo police continue to search for suspects involved in an aggravated robbery at the Hillcrest Hotel.

On October 8th at 10:17 pm, Amarillo Police officers received an aggravated robbery call at the 3000 block of Amarillo Boulevard East.

Upon arrival, the officers spoke with the two male occupants who stated they had invited a female they just met to come over to their hotel. After the woman arrived, she asked if she could invite some additional friends over and the men agreed.

A short time later, there was a knock on the door, and one of the men, assuming it was the friends the woman invited, opened the door and was greeted by three black males armed with weapons.

One male subject was armed with a pistol, another with a club, and the third was armed with pepper spray. The men forced their way inside the room and threatened the male occupants. The victims were pepper sprayed, and struck with a wooden club.

The suspects stole an undetermined amount of money and personal belongings before leaving the area. The woman also left prior to the officers arrival.

The victims were not able to give any additional information on the woman or the three black male suspects. No arrests have been made at this time.
