Three people arrested for auto burglaries

AMARILLO, TX - APD has arrested three people who were spotted going through unlocked cars in an apartment complex parking lot.

Late Thursday night, officers were sent to an apartment complex parking lot at the 8200 block Amarillo Boulevard West.

A witness followed them to a nearby hotel parking lot before losing sight of them.

Officers started searching the area, and saw two men in a common area of apartments in the 7000 block of Wolflin.

Both were taken into custody.

The third, Zedekiah Nehemiah Ortega, 17, was found driving the silver car the witness first reported.

He was booked into the Potter County Detention Center for burglary of a motor vehicle.

The other two suspects, Guillermo Yair Espinoza, 17, and Tristan Luis Gonzales, 19, were booked for burglary of a motor vehicle and evading arrest or detention.
