Kelton academic program event draws several colleges

Kelton, TX - Students at Kelton ISD had the opportunity to show off their smarts in the school's STEAM program event Thursday night.

The school's STEAM academic program further educates students in science, technology, engineering, art/agriculture and math. The purpose of this event was to let students present projects they had been working on this year, including BattleBots, Biomes for NASA and a solar car.

School officials at Kelton says they are very proud of this program because they are the only school in the Panhandle to offer it.

Several area colleges and companies came to Thursday night's event, including Texas Tech University, West Texas A&M University and Enbridge Inc.

This is a school wide collaboration and the program is used from PreK to 12th grade.
