Clovis man found guilty for fourth DWI and child abuse

Amarillo, TX - A Clovis man is found guilty for his fourth DWI and child abuse after a routine vehicle inspection led to his arrest.

John Flores, 51, was arrested on Aug. 10, 2012 when he brought his vehicle to the State Police Office for a VIN inspection.

Officers said he smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.

His vehicle was also equipped with an ignition interlock device and his 8 year-old son was inside.

Flores was also convicted of driving with a suspended license.

Flores was convicted of all charges but has not yet been sentenced. He will remain in custody until his next court date.

He faces up to seven years in prison.
