Follett, TX - The search continues for a Follett murder suspect. The apparent homicide happened on Saturday, however Texas rangers are still trying to find a suspect who they say is armed and dangerous.
Multiple law enforcement agencies were called to the Braums dairy farm in Follett where they found a body identified as Christian Guerrero Ramirez.
Upon investigating, Texas Rangers decided it was a homicide and immediately identified the suspect as 45-year-old Antonio Perez. Information on how the man died has not been released as the autopsy is underway, however authorities are on the lookout, as Perez may be getting further.
"At first, we believed he was in the Oklahoma area or the California area," says Chris Ray. "We've received additional information he may possibly be en route to Mexico."
Just last week, authorities were busy with another manhunt....a trend trooper ray says is not normal for the panhandle area.
"We've not had this much activity in quite a while, so there is something going on whether crimes on the increase or decrease or we're getting better at apprehending them I don't know but you are correct, it is on the increase," says Ray.
Perez may be operating a black 2003 Mitsubishi eclipse with Oklahoma tags. if he is encountered, the public is asked to proceed with caution.
