Amarillo, TX - An off-duty police officer helps stop four men accused of stealing several items from an Amarillo Walmart.

Just before 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the Walmart near 45th and Coulter, he says he saw four men in their 20s take several items and leave through the side door without paying for them.

While contacting dispatch, the off-duty officer followed the suspects in his personal vehicle as they fled the scene in a black SUV.

When on-duty officers caught up with the vehicle and arrested the four suspects, they say they found numerous clothing items and video games, as well as several pieces of identification information.

Officers also say they found a handgun, that was taken as evidence.

20 year-old Corbin Blake Hill and 20 year-old Gekeil Edward Graves are charged with class B misdemeanor theft over $50 less than $500.

20 year-old Jeffrey Bowers faces the same theft charge, and also had two local municipal court warrants.

23 year-old Augustus Woodrow Fennel is charged with theft over $50 less than $500, felon in possession of a firearm, and two local misdemeanor traffic charges.

All four suspects were booked into the Randall County jail.
