3 get prison over December armored car robbery in Amarillo

AMARILLO, Texas (AP) - A former armored car driver in Texas, his father and another man are going to prison for stealing more than $763,000 from the security vehicle.

All three Amarillo men in May pleaded guilty to conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery for last December's holdup.

Britt Michael Gresham was sentenced Tuesday to more than six years in prison. A federal judge in Amarillo sentenced Brian Keith Hodge to more than five years behind bars.

Hodge's son, Trent Michael Cook, was sentenced last week to more than eight years.

Cook had been driving the Rochester Armored car that was found in Amarillo with the engine running and the cargo gone. Police believed Cook was a victim until he and Gresham were caught in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The money was recovered.
