TEXAS raising money for Peyton's family

Canyon, TX - The TEXAS musical is now raising money to help the family of Peyton Trueblood, a crew member who lost her life to an accidental firework explosion at Palo Duro Canyon.

All of the proceeds for Monday night's TEXAS originals variety show will go directly to Peyton's family. Previously, admission was a $10 donation to the TEXAS scholarship fund.

According to the TEXAS musical drama's Facebook page, they want to help Peyton's family anyway they can.

There will be a silent auction starting at 6 p.m. before the show in the lobby. Officials of the musical encourage anyone who can donate something, to come help Peyton's family. A variety of things will be accepted like baked good, gift cards, and house cleaning services.

TEXAS originals starts Monday at 7 p.m. at the Branding Iron Theatre at West Texas A&M University.
