Amarillo, TX - A tour in support of Texas secession came through Amarillo Saturday to meet with the public.
The Texas National Movement is touring 21 cities in Texas this month to meet and train volunteers and supporters.
The tour's goal is to obtain 75,000 signatures to place a referendum on Texas independence on the 2016 Republican Party ballot.
The movement currently has over 200,000 supporters.
Tuesday, around 10:20 p.m., Amarillo police were dispatched to the 4400 block of Mesa on a possible aggravated assault. Officers discovered a deceased male with a gunshot wound to the upper body.
